Harvey started his career in financial services with New York Life in 2004. Prior to joining New York Life, he served as a fee based financial planner in Charlotte, NC., with Eagle Strategies LLC a New York Life company, he served as a Partner and Senior Partner in the Charlotte General Office before being named Managing Partner for the Nashville General Office in 2012. Under his leadership, the Nashville General Office won the prestigious Executive Vice Chairman's Trophy for New Organization Sales, The View from the Top Award, and the Life Product Trophy. His office was also awarded the Long-Term Care Trophy twice. He also earned membership into the Partner's Round Table.

Throughout his career he has won many honors and awards including qualifying for the Million Dollar Round Table numerous times. He earned the Gathering of Eagles award as a first-year Partner, going on to qualify for the award two additional times. He also earned the Partner Commitment Award three times.

Harvey returned to the Charlotte General Office in 2017 to serve as a Senior Partner. While there, the Charlotte office won four national trophies. Harvey is now leading the Roanoke General Office in Roanoke, Virginia, as the Managing Partner.t

After graduating from North Carolina State University, Harvey started an Agribusiness and managed his farm. He served on the board directors for a local insurance company and was later elected as president of the county board of directors. He went on to further serve on the state board of directors for an insurance company. Upon entering the insurance and financial services industry full time, he earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU^®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC^®), Chartered Life Fellow (CLF^®) and the distinguished Certified Financial Planner^™(CFP^®) designations in order to better serve and advise his clients.

Adam began his career as a Financial Services Professional with NYLIFE Securities LLC and a Licensed Agent with New York Life in 2017. He quickly worked diligently in the Roanoke Valley area to serve many individuals, families, and business owners his first year. He was recognized as “Rookie of the Year” in 2017. In 2018, Adam finished as the life case-rate leader in the Roanoke office and earned a spot on the Top 20 life producers list in the United States at the end of 2018 as a new-org agent. After early success, the two- time Executive council* agent was promoted to Partner in 2019.

In his first full year as Partner in 2020, Adam received “New Partner of the Year” in the South Central Zone with his team finishing #1 with the highest average for paid life cases per agent in his unit. His team finished among the Top 100 teams in the country. He also achieved “View from the Top” and “Partner Commitment” accolades for Excellences in Recruiting and development. In 2021, he received the “Leading partner award” pinnacle for achieving Top 50 Partners in the country. He finished at #25 in his second year while achieving excellence in recruiting and development accolades.

Adam is a local native from the Roanoke area where he graduated from Cave Spring High School. Following graduation, he attended Fork Union Military Academy as a Post-Graduate. Excelling as National Division I prospect with multiple offers and zero demerits, Adam was recruited by Virginia Tech, where he competed as a running back for the Hokies. Graduating with a B.A. degree from Virginia Tech, he enhanced his education and received an M.S. degree from Radford University.

He serves as the Legislative Key Contact for the Roanoke General Office and the Executive Vice President for the Roanoke Valley Hokie Club.

Spencer began his career with New York Life as an agent. He reached Executive Council* during each of the four years he spent as an agent. He was promoted to Partner in the Las Vegas General Office in 2014. In December 2015 he joined the Roanoke General Office as Development Manager.

Spencer holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Mesa Colorado. He holds a Commercial Pilot's License and was a FAA designated Single and Multi-Engine flight instructor.

Prior to joining New York Life, Spencer ran the Las Vegas office of Decision Control, a marketing firm based in Berkley, California that specializes in business marketing campaign strategies.

Spencer resides in Roanoke with his wife, Julie and their two sons.

In 2023, Ashley joined the Agency Standards Team and is currently the Agency Standards Manager in the Roanoke and Raleigh General Offices supporting the Management Team and more than 100 agents.   Ashley began her career at New York Life working in New Business, transitioned into Contracting and Licensing, and then served as the Office Coordinator in the Roanoke General Office. During her time in the General Office Administrative Services, Ashley earned multiple industry designations including FLMI, AIRC, ARA, FSRI, and ACS to further her education and better serve her agents.  She was also received multiple service scholar awards, assisted on several special projects, developed curriculum for the Field Service University team, and served as a Subject Matter Expert in the South- Central Zone.

Ashley is a native of Roanoke, Virginia.  She attended Anderson University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  Ashley completed her Master of Science in Education at Radford University and taught Middle School Math and Algebra before joining New York Life in 2009. Ashley is an avid reader, music enthusiast, and plays several sports.  She enjoys good conversation, quality time with family and friends, traveling, especially to warmer weather, and spending time with her sweet puppy, Dexter.

Andy Byrd joined New York Life in February 2024 as the new Service Leader for the Roanoke, VA General Office.

Prior to joining New York Life, Andy worked in the insurance industry for eight years, mostly in leadership roles, including three years as a successful Agency Director. Andy also has considerable experience in contract administration for government and commercial industries. He has received recognition and several superior performance awards in his previous positions, and he has served as a mentor and coach for young leaders. Andy is a leadership enthusiast and relationship builder and enjoys building and leading teams to accomplish exceptional results.

Andy earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Management from Radford University and earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Georgia.

Andy grew up near Roanoke in Botetourt County on a small cattle ranch and loves nature. Andy is a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan and loves doing outdoor activities with his wife Zella and their family, including their Saint Berdoodle, Quin.
